:(
While browsing boingboing.net , I came across a post on GenderAnalyzer , a site that uses AI to determine if a blog is written by a man or a woman. I tried it out on this site, and it promptly told me I was a Man. :(
Sure, I was a little surprised, but they do say that it's not completely accurate. So I then tried putting in the addresses of all the blogs I link to over there----------------->
And it figured out everyone else's gender with 100% accuracy.
So, now I am trying to figure out what about my writing style screams, "MAN."
Is it all the references to Black Holes, tar pits, Infinity Glasses, and Poseidon? Or is it something more subtle?

it thinks i'm a woman if that makes you feel any better.
also, if you look at the results, it's barely over 50% correct, which is not terribly good given the odds.
Hmm I think their odds were higher earlier today... but yeah, I'm not really THAT worried.
Besides, I have a hot-pink dinosaur on my avatar, that's a clear gender marker....right?
Mine came up 80% female which I consider kind of sucky. Talking about blackholes seems a lot cooler than talking about apple pies and four year olds.
Well, you could always try to interjecting more "masculine" words into your posts and see if it made you cooler like me...
For example:
"I made an apple pie today. Unfortunately, it got sucked into a super-massive black hole along with all the 4-year olds in the vicinity. It's really too bad, I had even embossed the crust with my favorite "Muscular Dinosaurs Holding Machine Guns and Expectorating into a Spittoon" pattern."
